New York detective Jack Mosley (Bruce Willis), is a badge-carrying bum whose love for the bottle has reduced him to a has-been on the police force. One morning after working the night shift, he's ready to head for home when he's ordered to transport a petty criminal (Mos Def) from the jail to the courthouse just 16 blocks away. Sounds easy, but this crim is a key witness in a police corruption case - and there are those that would not see justice done.
